Sunderland midfielder, Jordan Henderson, rejected an offer that came from the duo, Manchester United and City, and Chelsea. According to him, he wanted to stay at Sunderland because they still need a lot of opportunities to play and grow. "I enjoy my existence in Sunderland. I never intend to go because it can play every week in the Premier League and it was everything I dreamed," said Henderson told The Journal.

"I was young and playing for Sunderland. I like to do and want to maintain that, in order to continue to grow and become better as a player." he continued.

Henderson did perform well this season. He has always been a mainstay of manager Steve Bruce in midfield "The Black Cats". Noted he has played in 27 games with Sunderland this season and scored one goal.
